ISP team member Kratos provides support to the Defense Contracting Management Agency (DCMA) under the eTools contract. Kratos manages all aspects of system administration (maintaining operating systems, loading software applications, and evaluating/integrating COTS products). Kratos provides information assurance and continuity of operations planning for the eTools environment; and executes DCMA-provided backup, recovery, and other system management plans as required. Kratos monitors DCMA systems for virus intrusion, eliminating any viruses found, and identifies and resolves security breaches/attacks. Kratos maintains configuration records, sets up DCMA-compliant workstations, identifies disk space requirements, and tracks system utilization data. Kratos provides Tier 3 support for the functional test and production environments and Tier 2 support for test environments; monitors system performance; and makes network/system tuning recommendations. Compliance training is a critical and constant need within DCMA; the ever evolving Federal contracting environment requires training to be developed and delivered quickly. Kratos developed a training framework that expedites moving from requirements to a full training package with video, quizzes and compliance certification, in less than one month. Kratos has also become part of the newly formed DCMA Training Academy, which oversees training delivery for all applications; this includes video/CBT development as well as distributed training classes. Kratos also implemented PKI-based authentication/authorization and role-based single sign-on user access management

Under ITOSS, ISP partner CITI has provided the full scope of services necessary to design, build, enhance, maintain, operate, and secure the Department of State Consular Affairs’ (CA’s) unclassified and classified IT infrastructures. CITI has a long track record of performing network monitoring, systems administration, communications support, application support, and information systems security support. CITI maintained CA’s Virtual Environment (CAVE)—450 of the 650 servers in operation are virtual, which reduces physical and resource footprint in the datacenters. We also migrated all services from aging datacenters in the DC area to a new Tier III datacenter, and created an Operations Center to monitor systems and services and resolve incidents and requests. CITI has been responsible for the 24x7 datacenter operations for CA (including management of more than 750 Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers in multiple, geographically dispersed data centers and U.S. Passport facilities nationwide). Additionally, we manage 450 additional configuration items that include storage devices; physical stand-alone and blade servers; network devices; and network load balancers. CITI has provided oversight of all information systems security activities in accordance with the approved SOPs and individual work requests from the GTM/designee. CITI performs a wide range of security operations tasks that support both intrusion detection and intrusion prevention; and that support compliance with FISMA as well as NIST and State Department guidelines.
